In Loving Memory
Richard Montero
1964 – 2026
Turning loss into lasting mental health healing — one family at a time.
A Life Well Lived in Venezuela
Richard Montero was a devoted father to his daughter Lolybeth a loving pet grandfather, and a cherished member of the Adairsville, GA community. At 62, his life was taken too soon in a fatal car accident — leaving behind a family and a community forever changed.
The Montero Legacy Fund was founded in his daughter, Lolybeth and their family. It exists to champion mental health advocacy and support those who are fighting to end the stigma surrounding mental health — carrying forward the compassion Richard embodied every day.
"He gave everything to the people he loved. Now we give in his name."— Lolybeth Montero, Founder

Rooted in Shepherd, Texas
Richard was Shepherd through and through. He knew his neighbors, showed up for his community, and left a mark on everyone he met. This fund is our way of keeping that spirit alive — neighbor helping neighbor, just as he always did.
